ATTENTION:

To increase efficiency and accuracy of the database, DNPE has initiated an annual update process for all listed home schools. All listed home schools are requested to review and update their contact information (providing an e-mail address) and enrollment information online.

This process wil take less than five minutes to complete. This year (2011-2012), DNPE is going automated; email correspondence will be sent to chief administrators instead of mass hard copy mailings. Therefore, providing your email address is important.

Access to this Online Home School Update is protected. To gain access, please enter the Access Code below which appears within the "Home School Annual Update" side of the double postal card or an e-mail you received in early August from the Annual Reports Section of the NC Division of Non-Public Education (DNPE).

This Access Code is NOT your School ID Number (which appears to the right of your county name on your mailing address side of that double postal card).
The Annual Online Home School Update is only available August 1 through September 30 of the current school year.

Participation in the Annual Online Home School Update and Inspection-by-mail program is completely voluntary. However, if you choose to participate DNPE will not schedule a school visit this year.

  • Once you begin this Online Update, you MUST complete it.  You will NOT (unless otherwise indicated) have the ability to return to a previous page using your browser's “Back” function.
  • If for some reason you are unable to complete it, or you made an error in the informational changes you submitted, please call DNPE during weekday public business hours at (919) 733-4276 and press 2 as soon as the recorded greeting begins. Please note, however, that for security reasons, DNPE staff CANNOT share with anyone by telephone any Access Code or School ID Numbers.
  • All information (except student nationally standardized test result records) provided to DNPE becomes a public record in accordance with G.S. 132-1 and 132-6.
