Home School Volunteers Needed
Due to continuous home school growth and very limited staffing, the North Carolina Division of Non-Public Education
(DNPE) needs home schoolers (current or former) who will donate some of their time, skills and energy to
the office during the school year.
Tasks for adult helpers include:
- Affixing labels to file folders;
- Alphabetizing and filing folders as well as post card reports;
- Assisting in filing of home school closures;
- Calling other home school volunteers from your home phone;
- Inserting items in mailing envelopes.
DNPE is asking for one or more three-hour blocks of your time, at your convenience, during any month of the calendar year except June and December. Because of very limited work space available, please be sure a specific time and date has been established at least 24 hours in advance with DNPE before coming to the office to work.
Free
parking is available for DNPE
volunteers at nearby official state government owned visitor parking lots
provided they first bring their parking lot entry ticket to DNPE
for validation before leaving the office.
Home school families living
away from the Raleigh area are invited to plan a day-long visit (field trip) to
the Raleigh state government complex and then spend a few hours helping DNPE
with volunteer work.

We are SO thankful for our
crew of home school volunteers each year!
