Volunteers  Needed

Due to continuous home school growth and very limited staffing, the NC Division of Non-Public Education (DNPE) needs home schoolers (current or former) who will volunteer to donate some of their time, talent and energy to the office during the 2007-2008 school year.  Tasks for adult helpers include:

DNPE is asking for one or more three-hour blocks of your time at your convenience during either mid July through November, 2007; or from January 7 through April 25, 2008.  Because of very limited work space available, please be sure a specific time and date has been mutually established in advance with DNPE before coming to the office to work.  Free parking is available for DNPE volunteers at nearby official state government visitor parking lots provided they first bring their parking lot entry ticket to the DNPE Director for validation before leaving the DNPE office.  Home school families living away from the Raleigh area are invited to plan a day-long visit (field trip) to the Raleigh state government complex and then spend a few hours helping DNPE with volunteer work.  A list of future work dates is available.

Click here for maps, our office location and detailed directions to it.

Call DNPE at (919) 733-4276 or write and state that you wish to be put on the DNPE home school volunteer list for this school term.  Leave your name, mailing address and telephone number and you will be contacted by telephone or mail when the next need arises.

We are SO thankful for our crew of home school volunteers each year!
