Former North Carolina Non-Public School Statutes |
These former
statutes are being made available for those researching the history of North
Carolina's regulation of non-public schools. The first requirements for
non-public schools at the state level appears within the 1925
compulsory attendance statutes. While they have been revised on numerous
occasions over the years, we make available here only those revisions of
portions which directly impacted the regulation of non-public
schools. The first separate statute section for non-public schools (in
addition to the compulsory attendance statutes) was originally enacted in
1955.
